Fixed term contract until 31 March 2026, 15-20 hours per week. Applicants must be an independent prescriber with an active GPhC registration. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to ABC's team of Non-Medical Prescribers including Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Paramedic Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. As ABC continues to recruit and embed non-medical prescribers to support its clinical team, the role will have a strong focus on the integration of these teams to facilitate enhanced team-working and improved service efficiencies and capacity.
The role will provide leadership to ABC's non-medical prescribers, including regular clinical supervision and one-to-ones, review of clinical consultations, quality improvement, prescribing, incidents and holistic support and mentorship.
- To provide expert leadership, governance and oversight for all Non-Medical Prescribers and non-medical prescribing activity
- To ensure that non-medical prescribing practice is safe, legally compliant, evidence based and aligned with national and local frameworks
- To lead the development, implementation and evaluation of ABC's non-medical prescribing strategy and appropriate quality improvement projects
- Develop and maintain robust clinical governance arrangements for non-medical prescribing including audits, incident reviews and safety monitoring
