Current Team Structure
2 x Quantity Surveyors
2 x Commercial/Accounts Administrators
4 x Estimators
There is significant opportunity to develop and expand this team as the business continues to grow.
Role Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership
Lead and manage the commercial department across surveying and estimating.
Provide strategic commercial direction and report directly to the Managing Director and Board.
Drive commercial performance, profitability and cash generation across all projects.
Quantity Surveying
Oversee monthly applications for payment.
Manage cashflow, including payment notices and pay less notices.
Account management and client review meetings.
Final account preparation and negotiation.
Commercial reporting, forecasting and risk management.
Estimating
Provide commercial oversight of all tender submissions.
Review tender documentation and contract orders.
Assess commercial terms and conditions.
Identify contractual risks, opportunities and key commercial considerations.
Ensure consistency and quality across all estimating activities.
Commercial Management
Take overall commercial responsibility for live projects.
Protect project margins and profitability.
Manage variations and change control processes.
Oversee subcontract procurement and commercial agreements.
Maintain a strong commercial cash position across all work streams.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a commercially driven leader with a proven background in electrical contracting, ideally within Temporary Site Services or a closely related sector. The successful candidate should have experience managing commercial and estimating teams, possess strong contractual knowledge, demonstrate excellent commercial acumen, and be confident leading client relationships while mentoring and developing people
