Responsible for directing the day to day outbound operations of the order processing department within the distribution center. Assist in ensuring compliance and productivity while operating.
Essential Job Functions- Assist the Order Processing Supervisor with the following job duties:
- Oversee all aspects of the order processing department.
- Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
- Work with the operations managers and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc.
- Responsible for team member evaluations being written and delivered in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.
- Work with the Operations and DC manager to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals.
- Work closely with the Human Resources Supervisor and the Operations Manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
- Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes.
- Work with the DC manager for approval on any expenditure for the department.
- Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately
- Desired:
- College degree or logistics certification
- 2+ years previous experience in a supervisor role
- Advanced computer skills
- Completion of the O’Reilly supervisor training program
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
