Retail Parts Pro – Advanced Auto Parts

Full-time professional sales position focusing on the DIY auto parts business. Requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and advanced diagnostic skills. Supports customer projects, sourcing, and inventory processes.

• Provide Gas2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
• Key holder responsibilities: task assignment, safety, open/close duties

• Assist in store inventory processes: truck put-away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back stock
• Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, floor facing, dusting, parking lot
• Provide DIY services: battery installation, testing, wiper installs

• Friendly communication
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment
• Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services
• ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
• Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability
• Advanced parts lookup and sourcing
• Advanced selling skills for DIY

• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust)
• Speak and write English;
  Spanish a plus
• Read and interpret documents: safety rules, instructions, parts catalogs, procedure manuals
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
• Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment
• Basic math accuracy
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
• Strong organizational skills
• Availability to work an assortment of days, evenings, weekends as needed

• 3‑5 years of automotive parts experience
• Proven sales ability with customer transactions

• Valid driver’s license
• ASE certification preferred, but not required

Work in a retail setting; may require lifting, repetitive motions, standing for long periods, and occasional travel.
