Instrumentation Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join their team based in George . This role is essential for calibrating, maintaining, and repairing the complex instrumentation and control systems that ensure the precise operation of our facilities. You will be working with a variety of sophisticated equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our process controls. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong aptitude for diagnosing and resolving issues within intricate systems, contributing to operational excellence in the George region.

• Install, calibrate, and maintain various industrial instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on control systems and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control loops, making necessary repairs.
• Interpret P& and P&IDs to understand process flow and instrument function.
• Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Work with SCADA and DCS systems for monitoring and control purposes.

• Recognized qualification as an Instrumentation Technician or equivalent.
• Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and process control systems.
• Familiarity with calibration procedures and standards for various instrument types.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and instrumentation loop diagrams.
• Experience with digital and analog signal processing and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to hazardous areas and instrumentation work.
