Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This role offers a rewarding position within a supportive and collaborative SEN school in Thetford.

• Lead a Primary SEN classroom, delivering high‑quality, differentiated lessons across the curriculum.
• Tailor teaching methods to meet the sensory, communication, and emotional needs of each child.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress against individual EHCP targets and small‑step learning goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of Teaching Assistants to provide a cohesive and nurturing support system for all pupils.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and multi‑agency professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
• Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes independence, play‑based learning, and social interaction.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching at the Primary level (EYFS, KS1, or KS2) within an SEN or inclusive mainstream setting.
• Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience working with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Proficiency in using adaptive communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton, visual timetables).
• Excellent classroom management skills with a gentle, patient, and positive approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
