. Previous experience in education is not essential. What matters most is your ability to remain calm, professional, adaptable, and reliable in a school setting.
These schools support pupils with a variety of learning, social, and behavioural needs. They require adults who can follow established systems, maintain clear expectations, and contribute positively to a focused and purposeful classroom environment. Whether your background is in education, childcare, care, youth services, customer service, security, administration, retail, hospitality, logistics, the armed forces, or another people‑focused industry
, your transferable skills are valued.
You will work alongside teaching staff to support learning, encourage engagement, and help maintain consistency within the classroom.
Driving requirement: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. The role involves travelling independently between schools, sometimes at short notice, so flexibility and reliability are required.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with academic, emotional, and behavioural needs in structured classroom environments
- Assisting teachers in maintaining a calm, safe, and purposeful learning atmosphere
- Supporting learning in core subjects such as literacy and numeracy
- Promoting positive behaviour through clear expectations, consistency, and calm communication
- Contributing to an organised and supportive school setting
- Is confident working in fast‑paced school environments
- Communicates clearly and professionally with students and staff
- Remains calm, resilient, and solution‑focused under pressure
- Follows guidance and established behaviour strategies effectively
- Brings a reliable, flexible, and positive approach to their work
