Role Overview
Projects & Improvements Engineer (Mechanical Bias) – Project Engineering Team at Baxter Thetford. Provide technical expertise within the team, managing change related to existing equipment, new equipment introduction, and new project implementation within the plant.
Responsibilities- Manage equipment change and new equipment projects to the highest standard of capital management, schedule compliance, and system handover criteria.
- Provide technical expertise on key engineering projects and process improvement projects, including feasibility, design and delivery of solutions.
- Develop technical specifications focused on mechanical design.
- Apply management of change best practices for site equipment.
- Support handover process into production and manage punch list items, including spares management and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Travel to FATs as required.
- Comply with EHS Guidelines and identify areas for improvement across the site.
- HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and experienced teamwork, highly self‑motivated.
- High competency in mechanical and electrical fault‑finding.
- Experience with automation and robotics, schematics, wiring and circuitry.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.

Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week, with flexibility to suit business needs. This may include early mornings, evenings and weekends periodically.
