Role DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and organised Container Control Administrator to join our team in Rainham, Essex. This is a vital, hands-on administrative role that sits at the heart of our operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day tracking of our container fleet, working closely with our depots and operations departments.
In this position, accuracy is paramount. You will ensure that every unit is exactly where it should be, providing the foundational data required for seamless logistics and precise billing.
Day-to-Day tasks- Entering container movements into the system (on hire, off hire, transfers, sales)
- Keeping container records accurate and up-to-date
- Checking paperwork and chasing missing information
- Flagging anything that doesn’t look right straight away
- Supporting stock checks and investigations into missing containers
- Dealing with basic container queries from depots and operations
- Someone reliable, organised, and willing to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and basic spreadsheets
- Confident enough to ask questions when things don’t add up
- Practical, common-sense approach to work
- Experience in logistics, transport, yard, or depot environments
- Previous container control or container admin experience
- Exposure to hire, rental, or asset tracking systems
- Clear progression opportunities
