Position: Small works Contracts Manager
Location: Upminster

Small Works Contracts Manager required in Essex

Our clients are a specialist construction and refurbishment contractor, based in Essex, who are seeking a Small works Contracts Manager to join their team.

You will be working on refurbishment and fit out projects in the Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Residential sectors with values up to £500K.

The Small Works Contracts Managers responsibilities will include:

* Working underneath the Directors

* Estimating/preparation of tender bids

* Maintain and develop successful client relationships

* Procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers

* Production and presentation of Construction Programmes

* Production and presentation of Progress Reports

* Prepare and agree valuations/final accounts

* Financial Reporting

* Management of sub-contractors and suppliers

* Monitor and manage progress on site and ensure adequate resources are provided to successfully complete projects in good time

* Liaise with clients and professional team as necessary to achieve success, be proactive in problem solving

* Ensure that on-site Health & Safety standards and procedures are applied in accordance with the companies H & S policy and all accident reporting procedures are followed

* Work closely with Site Manager and on–site workforce to ensure works are progressed to meet contract requirements

* Regularly check quality of work carried out on site to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are achieved

* Ensure the sites are well managed, clean and tidy and present a professional image

* Ensure Site manager/Supervisor maintains an up-to-date site diary/register

Small works Contracts Manager Requirements:

* Experience running small works contracts of a similar value from initial enquiry through to final accounts

* Experience running fit out and refurbishment projects

* CSCS

* First Aid qualifications are ideal

* A degree/HNC in a related subject would be advantageous
