Salary: £85 £ 100 per day

The Role
We are looking for a confident Cover Supervisor to join our team in Upminster. Whether you are a graduate looking for classroom experience before starting your PGCE, or an experienced supervisor wanting a new challenge, this role offers the perfect blend of responsibility and flexibility. You will lead the classroom in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain focused and the learning objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring a calm and focused atmosphere.
• Deliver lessons across the curriculum using the materials provided by the department.
• Uphold the school s high expectations for behaviour and academic engagement.
• Assist students with their work, providing guidance and encouragement where needed.
• Report back to the school leadership on student attendance and lesson outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people (highly desirable).
• Possess a resilient and proactive "can-do" attitude.
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to build quick rapport with students.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to apply for one.
• Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
