Are you passionate about helping children grow, learn and achieve their full potential? We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment where you can make a real difference every day. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, supporting pupils through engaging learning activities, targeted interventions and personalised support, including children with SEN. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive and committed to creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and effective classroom learning.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted support and promote progress.
  • Assist in preparing learning resources and monitoring pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment while encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support all learners and uphold safeguarding policies and procedures.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience working with primary-aged children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach, with the ability to support learning for individuals and small groups.
  • A proactive team player who is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and helping all pupils achieve their potential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
