Are you an experienced House building Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career, or a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) seeking a new challenge? My client, a leading house building company, is offering an excellent opportunity to manage the financial and contractual aspects of a large scheme in Ashford, Kent, while working primarily from their office in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cashflows (in & out).

* Ensure accurate and timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.

* Attend and contribute to site meetings, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.

* Manage and resolve variations, ensuring subcontractor compliance and quality delivery.

* Conduct financial reporting, providing robust updates to support project delivery.

Additional Context:

This large site is already up and running, and you will be taking over from a previous Senior Quantity Surveyor. The role will primarily involve monitoring and controlling processes, ensuring smooth continuity, and managing ongoing financial and contractual responsibilities to support the successful completion of the project.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor, within the house building or residential sector.

* Ambition and readiness to step into a Senior QS role, or existing Senior QS experience with a focus on leadership and process management.

* Ability to independently manage all core processes of an SQS role, with a strong focus on monitoring and control.

* Willingness and ability to travel to the site in Ashford as required.

* Immediate availability or ability to start promptly.

* A professional, proactive approach to managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.

Additional Details:

This freelance position is for an initial period of 6 months, with the potential for extension based on project requirements.
