A caring and inclusive Primary School in Horsham is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. The school has strong SEND systems and values a calm, consistent and relationship‑led approach.
The Role- Supporting pupils with SEND within the classroom
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting learning, engagement and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and the SENCO
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Experienced SEND Teaching Assistants
- Support staff with ASD, ADHD or SEMH experience
- Graduates considering SEND or education careers
- Individuals with a patient and nurturing approach
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
