Lead Electronics Engineer

Location: South Surrey (4 days onsite)

Base pay range: Up to £80,000

We’re seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to join a leading technology business driving innovation in advanced sensor technology. In this role, you’ll lead a talented engineering team of 6 engineers and take ownership of the full product lifecycle from requirements and system architecture to circuit design, prototyping, testing, and production support.

• Lead the design and integration of innovative products (digital, analogue, and software).
• Develop specifications, requirements, and interface definitions.
• Design, simulate, and validate circuits.
• Drive system integration, debugging, and validation activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Support compliance (EMC, safety) and DFMEA reviews.

• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering and people management/leadership.
• Strong digital & analogue design skills (ADCs, DACs, op-amps, power supplies).
• Familiar with PCB tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad) and simulation (LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink).

Desirable: wireless communications (BLE, Wi‑Fi, LoRa), intrinsic safety standards, or experience in regulated sectors (medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial automation).
