Electronics Engineer

Position: Electronics Engineer (Permanent)
A well-established distributor of is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of products to various industries. As a component Engineer you will be focused on managing product data, supporting technical queries, and maintaining accurate information within our MRP system.

Electronics Engineer responsibilities:

* Create and maintain part numbers and product files in the MRP system.

* Support Bill of Materials (BOM) setup and testing before handover to Production.

* Handle customer technical queries, especially for non-franchised components.

* Review customer drawings, identify suitable suppliers, and update MRP records.

* Keep product and supplier information up to date, including global distributors.

* Manage commodity codes and ensure accurate record keeping.

* Maintain a library of technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings.

* Support or lead product inspection activities when required.

* Ensure all technical data is properly logged and accessible to staff.

Skills & experience required:

* Strong understanding of electronic or electrical components.

* Confident using MRP/ERP or technical data systems.

* Able to read and interpret technical drawings.

* Methodical, detail-focused, and proactive in keeping data accurate.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.
