Senior Town Planner
Location: Pulborough (hybrid working available depending on application)

Following a recent internal promotion, the team is now looking to appoint an additional Town Planner to strengthen the planning function and support continued growth.
The RoleThis is a well-rounded Senior Planner position offering real autonomy, responsibility and variety. You’ll manage your own caseload of planning projects from start to finish, acting as a key point of contact for clients while working closely with experienced colleagues across the wider business.
Projects range from larger residential, commercial and leisure developments through to smaller, often complex rural schemes — offering excellent technical exposure and day‑to‑day variety.
Key Responsibilities- Managing your own portfolio of planning projects and client relationships
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
- Drafting Planning Statements, Appeal Statements, Local Plan representations and appraisals
- Advising clients on planning strategy and development potential
- Negotiating with local authorities and stakeholders
- Coordinating input from other professional disciplines
- Supporting and contributing to fee proposals and tenders
- Helping to generate new work through strong client and contact relationships
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited)
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in development planning or development management
- Strong technical planning knowledge and understanding of current policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident managing projects independently while working collaboratively
- Commercially aware, proactive and well organised
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- £38,000 – £42,000 basic salary (DOE)
- Annual discretionary bonus
- Second discretionary bonus via the Employee Ownership Trust
