The Opportunity
A Senior Facilities Project Engineer is required to lead and deliver a wide range of facilities and building services projects within a highly technical clean energy environment based in Horsham. This Senior Facilities Project Engineer role focuses on infrastructure upgrades, laboratory and industrial building services improvements, and minor to medium capital works.
The Senior Facilities Project Engineer will ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Senior Facilities Project Engineer will manage external contractors and consultants while maintaining full compliance with CDM regulations, UK health & safety legislation, and building regulations.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead facilities and building services projects from concept through to completion
* Prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project programmes
* Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers in line with contractor management procedures
* Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and statutory requirements
* Oversee commissioning, handover, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation
* Monitor budgets, control costs, and report on risks and progress
* Coordinate works to minimise operational disruption across technical facilities
* Identify improvements in efficiency, sustainability, and asset lifecycle performance
Knowledge & Experience Required
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, or Facilities discipline
* Experience delivering facilities or building services projects in industrial, commercial, or scientific environments
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fabric building services systems
* Sound working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and contractor management
* Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
* Professional membership (IWFM, CIBSE, IET or similar) desirable
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent desirable
* Strong reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
