A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor, operating across the South Coast, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. With projects ranging from climate adaptation schemes to major infrastructure improvements across the South East, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential projects that directly benefit communities and the environment.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and professional commercial service across their projects. You will work closely with site and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest quality, while building lasting client relationships.

- Manage the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process across projects.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams to ensure commercial and site activities are aligned.
- Monitor and manage risk, budgets, and performance standards.
- Lead the procurement of subcontractors, negotiating best value for the business.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with project programmes.
- Submit timely and accurate applications for payment, ensuring smooth cash flow.
- Oversee subcontractor performance in line with agreed terms and conditions.
- Provide accurate project cost forecasts, updated regularly and on time.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4, ECC, ICE, and JCT contracts.
- Experience of tendering and procurement processes.
- Awareness of QHSE legislation.
- Experience in dispute resolution and financial reporting (desirable).
- HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred).
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- CSCS Card & full UK driving licence.
