Multi-Skilled Engineer

Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established and respected food manufacturer, supplying high-quality bakery products across the UK and European markets. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and its people, we are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Pulborough site.

The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer role offers a competitive salary, a 4-on/4-off shift pattern working 07:00-19:00, and a comprehensive benefits package. You'll also benefit from free onsite parking and an excellent working environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

• Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/ industrial/ FMCG machinery to maximise equipment performance.
• Conduct electrical fault‑finding with quick response and rectification.
• Perform activities on 3-phase and single-phase power.
• Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic utters and packaging equipment etc.
• Other duties as required.

• Time served, or engineering qualifications.
• 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
• Previous experience maintaining industrial machinery, ideally within FMCG.
• Experience with welding is desirable.

• Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical.
• Hands on and enjoys getting stuck in.

• Salary of up to £46,000 DOE
• 4 on 4 off shift rotation
