Monday – Friday | Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary DOE
Hunters’ client, a world-leading engineering business, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in projects from initial concept through to final delivery, installation and commissioning. You'll work as part of an experienced engineering team, taking ownership of mechanical design challenges while developing your expertise across a highly specialist product range.
Mechanical Engineer
– The Role
Develop mechanical concepts and designs for magnet systems, structures and complex sub-assemblies
Complete and document mechanical design calculations, supporting key engineering decisions
Build and validate FEA models using Ansys Mechanical, including structural and thermal-structural analysis
Produce 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Solid Edge or similar software
Support projects through the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and development through to delivery and commissioning Mechanical Engineer – The Fit
Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in complex mechanical engineering
Experience using 3D CAD and/or FEA;
Ansys Mechanical and Solid Edge would be advantageous
Able to understand complex engineering requirements and produce clear technical documentation
Curious, proactive and keen to develop within a highly technical engineering environment
Experience with pressure systems, cryogenics, magnet technology or relevant engineering standards such as PD5500, EN 13445, ASME BPVC or IEC 60601 would be advantageous but is not essential.
