This is a senior opportunity to shape category strategy, lead complex software and SaaS negotiations, deliver commercial value, and influence strategic technology programmes.

Category Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver global Software and Technology category strategies.
• Lead high-value negotiations across Software, SaaS, Cloud, and related services.
• Drive cost reduction, licence optimisation, supplier consolidation, and value improvement.
• Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers and senior Technology, Finance, Legal and Risk stakeholders.
• Partner with technology and transformation teams on strategic programmes.
• Coach and develop Category Managers and Senior Buyers.
• Manage category pipelines, savings, renewals, supplier performance, and governance.

About you:

• Strong Technology Procurement experience, particularly Software and SaaS.
• Proven track record of complex negotiations and commercial value delivery.
• Experience developing category strategies within a large/global organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial judgement.
• Experience leading procurement teams.
• Financial Services, Fin Tech, or regulated-sector experience is desirable.
• MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualification is advantageous.
