We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to manufacture, modify and repair precision components using manual machining techniques. This role supports the production engineering function in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality manufactured parts, often working to tight timelines. You will produce tooling, fixtures and components to specification, enabling continuous production, project work and process improvement.

• Operating XYZ manual milling machines
• Operating manual lathe machines
• Using band saws and hydraulic hacksaws
• Ensuring all equipment and tooling is functioning effectively
• Producing work to a high-quality standard in line with engineering drawings
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and adhering to Health & Safety standards
• Supporting the training of new or transferred employees where required
• Liaising with internal departments as necessary
• Carrying out additional reasonable duties as required

• Proven experience programming and operating XYZ milling machines
• Strong experience operating manual lathe machines
• Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work accurately and precisely from engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
