Gardener

We are recruiting a Seasonal Gardener to support a busy grounds‑maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of commercial and landscaped outdoor spaces. The role involves maintaining gardens, lawns, car parks, courtyards, and planted areas, ensuring all sites remain tidy, safe, and well‑presented throughout the season.
Gardener Responsibilities
 
* Carry out general grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, and leaf clearance.
 
* Assist with landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, and maintaining beds and borders.
 
* Use herbicides and pesticides in line with PA1 & PA6 certification.
 
* Operate chainsaws and related equipment for arboricultural tasks (tree work, cutting, and branch clearance).
 
* Maintain car parks, courtyards, and external communal areas as required.
 
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with excellent attention to detail.
 
* Carry and maintain company‑provided machinery and equipment.
 
* Work within company health & safety guidelines at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills
 
* PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates (desired).
 
* Chainsaw licence (desired).
 
* Previous grounds maintenance or horticultural experience desirable.
 
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
 
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
 
* Strong awareness of health & safety.
