Team Leader, Outdoor​/Nature​/Animal Care

The Best Connection are proud to be recruiting for a Team Leader on behalf of our well-established client, who delivers landscape maintenance and soft landscaping services to local authorities across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Kent. They serve commercial, public, and private sector clients.

Location: Horsham

Industry: Agriculture

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: £12.71 an hour to £14.50 per hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities of the Team Leader:

• Carry out grass cutting using strimmers, pedestrian mowers, and ride-on mowers with trailers
• Lead and manage a small team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of public bridleways and pathways
• Operate, maintain, and care for vehicles and equipment
• Perform hedge cutting, shrub and border maintenance, pruning, and leaf clearance
• Undertake landscaping and environmental improvement works, including turfing, seeding, and planting
• Work safely at all times in line with health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements of the Team Leader:

• Previous grounds maintenance experience is preferred
• Full UK driving licence (to travel to site)
• Experience using ride-on mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters is advantageous but not essential
• Confidence in towing a trailer is desirable
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable carrying out manual work in all weather conditions
