Americas Human Resources Director at CRC Industries

Reporting to the Americas Accounting Manager, the Accountant – Americas will be responsible for a wide range of accounting work related to CRC’s US, Canada and Mexico entities. Duties include maintenance of the general ledger, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in Microsoft Dynamics and One Stream financial consolidations. The role will also support the budget and forecasting effort of the company and provide analytical data to various business segments.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of progressive responsibility in Accounting or Finance functions, preferably working for an international manufacturing company or a public accounting firm.
• A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics and One Stream consolidation software.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field equivalent from an accredited University.

• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience working with financial statements of foreign subsidiaries within a US based multinational preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical and general accounting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office packages with Intermediate skills in Excel.
• Basic knowledge of accounting software systems.
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously within established deadlines.
• Desire and willingness to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with all personnel levels.

• Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliation, and completion of monthly general ledger closing.
• Ensure accurate general ledger work-paper support for Balance Sheet and Expense accounts for both the US and the international businesses (Canada & Mexico) within the Americas Region.
• Analyze accounting transactions for accuracy, investigate questionable data, and take corrective action when necessary.
• Support tax and regulatory/statutory filing effort; compile tax provision support and filing documentation.
• Work with 3rd party accounting firm to ensure GAAP and international reporting requirements are met.
• Prepare internal financial statements in Microsoft Dynamics and support preparation of monthly reporting packages.
• Assist with consolidation of financial information in One Stream.
• Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting throughout the fiscal year.
• Review monthly expenditures and budget variances.
• Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials and manage the compilation of support schedules for the internal and external audits.
• Document accounting procedures and controls.
• Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
