Interim Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company located in Horsham, PA. We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join our manufacturing organization for a 6‑month contract. This role is highly transactional and requires a hands‑on professional with strong accounting expertise and the ability to manage day‑to‑day financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain compliance, and support process improvements during this interim period.

Job Title: Interim Controller (Transactional Focus)

Location: Horsham, PA

Schedule: Fully Onsite, Monday–Friday

Industry: Manufacturing

Compensation: $55–$62/hr.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  .
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes
  , ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
  .
• Supervise and review transactional accounting activities to maintain compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, internal reports, and management summaries
  .
• Support cost accounting and inventory reconciliations specific to manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
  .
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  .
• Act as a liaison with external auditors during the engagement period.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  ; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  , including controller‑level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting practices
  , including cost accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (experience with [insert software name if known]).
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
