Music Instrument Repair Technician – Music & Arts
Join the Music & Arts team as a Music Instrument Repair Technician, responsible for repairing musical string instruments efficiently and ensuring they return in good playing order.
Responsibilities- Work on rental returned instruments in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensure each instrument is repaired according to established quality guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records for production reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Apprenticeship or a diploma from an accredited repair school.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
- Ability to use standard repair shop tooling and equipment.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience working on musical instruments daily.
- Skilled understanding and function of one or all brass, woodwind, percussion, and orchestral instruments, with the ability to repair them promptly and efficiently.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience working on musical instruments daily.
- Advanced understanding and function of one or all brass, woodwind, percussion, and orchestral instruments, with the ability to repair them promptly and efficiently.
- Goal oriented.
- Ability to produce quality repairs efficiently.
- Openness to advice and supervision from the shop manager.
- Problem solving and technical skills in diagnosing and repairing instruments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to work well with others in a close environment.
