Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced cockpit and display systems for aerospace applications, integrating electronics, power, and structural components.
- Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of avionics, control panels, and instrumentation tailored to specialized aircraft or spacecraft platforms.
- Use AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools) to generate, modify, and review 2D/3D models, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of electronic subsystems.
- Perform system‑level trade studies to optimize weight, power, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and execute verification and validation plans (bench testing, environmental testing, functional testing) to ensure system performance and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to electronics, wiring, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC.
- Document design decisions, test plans, procedures, and results; produce high‑quality engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and configuration control activities.
- Mentor and coordinate with junior engineers, sharing expertise and fostering knowledge transfer.
- Maintain awareness of aerospace industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., DO‑254 for airborne electronics), and best practices.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the aerospace industry (design, development, or integration of aerospace systems).
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electronics, wiring, and cockpit layout design.
- Strong background in electronics, electrical systems, and/or power systems in aerospace or related fields.
- Understanding of materials used in aerospace (structural materials, harnessing, connectors, etc.).
- Experience with cockpit/display architecture
