• Fill prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.
• Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
• Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out‑of‑date items.
• Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments; may include non‑sterile compounding.
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant professional manner.
• Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Also perform at least one of the following duties:
  • Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
  • Operate automated machinery to pre‑pack drugs.
  • Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identifying expired medications, maintaining Days on Hand.
  • Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry).
  • Mix and package IV medications; sanitize IV room, equipment, and hood.
  • Service facility‑based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Required:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a pharmacy setting with medical terminology; ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications; detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; effective oral communication;
  Pharmacy Technician license.
• Desired:
  Long‑Term Care pharmacy experience.
