Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the HR strategy for manufacturing operations, aligned with TEPL’s growth roadmap and global industry standards for one of the largest business unit/plant of Tata Electronics based in Hosur .
- Establish robust HR systems and processes tailored to factory operations, including shift-based workforce management.
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws, EHS protocols, and industry regulations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Business Head and leadership team, fostering a high‑performance, safety‑first, and continuous improvement culture.
- Manage Direct Labor (DL) hiring and implement attrition control measures, ensuring timely workforce ramp‑up, stability, and retention across operators, technicians, and support staff to meet production and quality targets.
- Oversee talent ramp-up across engineering, production, quality, and support functions, building talent pipelines through academia partnerships, skilling programs, and internal mobility.
- Strengthen employee engagement and retention initiatives tailored to high‑volume manufacturing environments, ensuring workforce stability and motivation.
Essential Experience
- Strong background in manufacturing industries (semiconductors, precision engineering, automotive electronics, consumer electronics).
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive transformation.
- High resilience, agility, and comfort with ambiguity
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 20 + years of HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in EMS or high-tech manufacturing.
- Global exposure and ability to work across cultures.
