Substitute Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to fill the role of a Substitute Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students continue to receive quality education in the absence of their regular teacher. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage students in various subjects and activities.

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
• Assess and document student progress and behavior during the class.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other activities as required.
• Report any issues or concerns to the school administration promptly.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as available.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit issued by Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
