NPC Career Academy High School Welding Instructor
Description: National Park College Career Academy is currently seeking a full‑time High School Welding Instructor to begin teaching in Fall 2026. The Welding Instructor will teach courses in Industrial Safety, MIG, and TIG Welding.
Base Pay Range$44,000.00/yr - $45,000.00/yr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Instruct students in specialized educational programs by lecturing in classroom and laboratory settings and developing and providing individual instruction as required.
- Interpret policies, programs and procedures related to the delivery of services.
- Seek, select and use resources compatible with student and program needs.
- Implement a variety of strategies or approaches to meet the needs of students, including consulting with students, families and school staff, as necessary.
- Assess and document attainment of program objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of subject matter being taught.
- Knowledge of educational planning and teaching techniques.
- Knowledge of learning aids and teaching materials appropriate to the subject matter.
- Ability to develop and teach students based on assessments and evaluation.
- Ability to evaluate progress and revise lesson plans as needed.
- Ability to provide advice and guidance relative to the education of the student.
- Ability to recruit students to the high school welding program.
- Ability to establish partnerships with community stakeholders, including (but not limited to) the greater NPC community, local K‑12 educational institutions, and local business and industry.
- Applicants should meet eligibility requirements to teach high school concurrent credit courses (associate degree and four years of experience in the welding field, or a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the welding field).
- Applicants should meet eligibility requirements for an Arkansas Technical Teaching permit.
- Applicants should be certified in: GMAW (MIG), TIG, Stick, Flux Core, Pipe and/or Structural.
- Experience in production welding is an asset.
- Preference will be given to those with community college experience.
- Ability to stand throughout the day.
