***** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
** The EVS Attendant is responsible for the daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the Casino & Resort facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino.  The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
* Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
* Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer.
* Moves furniture and cleans assigned area.
* Maintains and cleans machines after use.
* Provides excellent guest services, treating guests and team members with courtesy and consideration at all times.
* Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
* Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and all applicable regulatory commissions and vendors as needed.
* May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
* Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
** QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Previous housekeeping experience a plus but not required
* High School grad or GED preferred but not required
* Guest service experience preferred.
* Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members.
* Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
** This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
** CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
** Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
