We are currently recruiting for two Lecturer & Programme Lead
- Electrical Installation positions at Sunderland College's HICSA Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced electrical installation professionals and lecturers who are passionate about developing the next generation of electricians within a Further Education environment.
As a Lecturer & Programme Lead
- Electrical Installation, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across electrical installation programmes, helping learners develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to succeed within the electrical industry. You will also contribute to programme development and support the continued success of the curriculum area.
- Delivering Electrical Installation lessons to FE students and apprentices
- Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with curriculum requirements
- Teaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory lessons
- Supporting learners with target setting, progress reviews, and achievement of qualifications
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate student records
- Promoting safe working practices and current industry standards within practical environments
- Supporting curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and professional standards within the classroom
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
- Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Strong industry experience within Electrical Installation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their goals
- Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or supporting apprentices would be advantageous
