Senior Accountants Payable Accountant

Richard’s Kitchen Store is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to take full ownership of Accounts Payable while supporting general accounting functions. This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with our external CPA to ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.

The position will also work hand-in-hand with Accounts Receivable, along with the rest of our small team, and be responsible for filing monthly sales and use tax payments for multiple parishes and states.

• Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Ensure transactions are recorded properly in all ledgers
• Process payroll to provide payment to employees on time

• Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
• Worked previously with basic accounting systems, Quick Books, and Excel
• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
• 2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position

$42,500 - $46,500 yearly
