Overview

Life Coast Community Health Center is seeking a Dental Provider to deliver comprehensive dental care in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. This role focuses on serving underserved populations by providing high-quality, patient-centered dental services while working as part of an integrated healthcare team.

• Provide Clinical Services:
  Perform a full range of dental procedures, including exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions to meet community needs.

  Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Patient Records Management:
  Accurately document and maintain patient treatment information in practice management software, such as Dentrix.
• Care Coordination:
  Collaborate with medical providers and other specialists to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.
• Address Barriers to Care:
  Support patients who may face challenges such as limited insurance coverage, language barriers, or transportation issues.
• Utilize FQHC Resources:
  Inform eligible patients about available programs, including sliding fee scales and patient prescription assistance programs.

• Licensure:
  Must hold a valid Louisiana dental license.
• Experience:
  
  Clinical experience preferred, ideally in community or public health settings. Experience using dental practice management software is a plus.
• Communication:
  Strong ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse patients and staff.
