About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Controller for our facility in Houma, LA. Responsible for the accuracy of accounting and financial data and reports as well as the daily monitoring and management of the Accounting Department. This position encompasses the security, accumulation, reporting, reconciliation and analysis of company financial data.
Essential duties and responsibilities- Daily bank reconciliation
- Month end/year end accounting reconciliation and closing of the books
- Maintain subsidiary reports of GL account balances
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements & financial statement ratios
- Development, preparation, and dissemination of financial and operational reports and dashboards
- Prepare financial and operational data for presentation at Quarterly Management Meetings
- Periodic evaluation and implementation of effective Internal Controls
- Maintain accurate Asset & Depreciation Schedules
- Review monthly preparation and payment of sales taxes
- Prepare documents for and ensure compliance with International Trade Letters of Credit
- Prepare progress bills and maintain accurate records of billing milestones, outstanding invoices, and payments received, as needed
- Manage online expense report software and ensure corporate card expense reports are submitted accurately and timely
- Review labor/burden variances to ensure accuracy of costing data
- Recording of all manual accounting entries, including general journal entries & cash book adjustments
- Review & approval of vendor ACH payments
- Training, development, and administration of accounting personnel
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of related experience
- Management experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office

Monday to Friday
Work LocationHouma, Louisiana, USA. This is a 100% onsite position based at our facility. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
