This is an advanced-level banking position responsible for managing a portfolio of consumer and business relationships while supporting the lending process from application through closing. The ideal candidate brings a strong knowledge of commercial and/or consumer lending, a proven ability to cultivate customer relationships, and experience managing a loan portfolio.

What You'll DoLending Support & Portfolio Management
  • Support the full loan lifecycle from application through closing
  • Gather and organize financial information, documentation, and loan packages
  • Ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate loan closings, documentation, funding, and post-closing activities
  • Partner with lenders, credit personnel, and operations teams to ensure timely processing and customer communication
Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced team members
  • Promote operational accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence
  • Assist with workflow coordination and branch operational support
  • Help train and develop teammates on products, procedures, and customer service standards
  • Support branch leadership when needed
Risk Management & Compliance
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of banking regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and internal controls
  • Promote risk awareness and quality assurance in daily operations
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in handling customer transactions and lending-related activities
Provide Depth to Deposit Account Servicing
  • Serve as the 4th-in-line Customer Service Representative for deposit account servicing.
  • Assist with account inquiries, maintenance, safe deposit boxes, and general services.
  • Open new accounts and maintain existing accounts using bank systems (e.g., BPM, NuPoint, NAC, or similar).
  • Issue debit cards and maintain account supplies (account kits, cards, account numbers).
  • Order checks
  • Provide support on various types of accounts: consumer, business, IRA, HSA.
  • Process wire transfers and related agreements according to procedures.
  • Handle debit card disputes and coordinate with the Fraud Department.
Relationship Management & Business Development
  • Recommend deposit, lending, treasury management, and other financial products based on customer needs
  • Resolve complex customer concerns while maintaining a high level of satisfaction
  • Generate referrals and contribute to branch growth objectives
Qualifications:

Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of banking experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a loan portfolio
  • Experience in consumer lending, commercial lending, or both
  • Demonstrated ability to build and retain customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and lending practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Experience in a community bank environment
  • Experience with commercial loan documentation and loan closing processes
  • Previous supervisory, mentoring, or team leadership experience
  • NMLS registration or ability to obtain registration if applicable
