Job OverviewThis role utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care. The nurse leads interdisciplinary collaboration, promotes quality improvement, and mentors staff while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively uses the nursing process in patient care delivery.
- Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serves as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Embraces concepts that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Required – Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Required – Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
- Required – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred – Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- Required – None.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Heavy Work – Exerting 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, 25–50 pounds of force frequently, or 10–20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Diligent handling of blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and hazardous waste in a patient care environment.
