Job Responsibilities- Use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Work ExperienceRequired - None.
CertificationsRequired - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
The physical essential functions of this job include frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally up to 100 pounds. A physical job, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. There may be exposure to hazardous medications or waste depending on duties.
