LPN Pediatric Home Care Weekends

We are hiring a Pediatric Private Duty LPN in the Houma area to provide pediatric private duty care. Weekend shifts needed! We offer FT/PT hours, flexible schedules.

• Providing direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Utilizing the Electronic Visit Verification program to record clinical and progress notes.
• Administering medications as prescribed by a physician and permitted by law.
• Teaching the patient and/or family members regarding the patient care needs.
• Ensuring confidentiality of patient records/information.
• Attending team meetings and staff meetings to enhance team communication and coordination of quality services.
• Observing, recording, and reporting signs and symptoms; reactions to treatments and medications; and any change in the patient's physical or emotional condition in a timely matter to the Registered Nurse and physician as applicable.
• Participating in the organization’s Performance Improvement and Compliance programs.
• All other duties assigned.

• Current LPN licensure in state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred; previous home care experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance and dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must meet the educational and experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.
• LA:
  Current LPN Licensure in LA without restrictions; at least one year of experience working as an LPN.
