Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee – 3275 s role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into Store Management. Minimum 1 year retail management experience is required. Pay: $13.00 to $22.40 per hour.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing customer issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-approved channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to share the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms (become firearms certified).
- Ability to work across multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed and depend on business needs.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; cash handling experience required.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

- Standard working hours: most stores open 9 AM to 6 PM; many stores closed on Sundays (vary by location).

- Potential to earn unlimited commission above hourly base rate; store-level commission details provided during interview.
- Paid vacation: 1 week after six months; additional vacation after 1 year and after each anniversary date; vacation accruals vary by state/local requirements.
- 8 hours sick/personal time after 6 months, 16 hours each anniversary from years 2-5; 24 hours after five years (adjusted by local requirements).

Position offers hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and store performance. Final pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Commission plan information is proprietary and discussed during the interview process.
