About the Role

I-NET Software Solutions is seeking a Procurement & Operations Project Officer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of internal operational and technology-related projects. The role will provide structured project support across procurement, supplier coordination, operational planning, project administration, reporting and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, technology teams, suppliers, finance and business stakeholders to ensure that project activities, resources, purchasing requirements and operational deliverables are effectively coordinated.

The role is suited to an individual with experience in procurement, supply-chain coordination, supplier management, ERP systems, commercial administration and operational project support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project managers and operational teams with the planning, coordination and administration of business and technology-related projects.
  • Maintain project plans, action trackers, schedules, milestones, documentation and status reports.
  • Coordinate procurement and purchasing activities required to support project delivery.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and assist with commercial comparisons and purchasing recommendations.
  • Coordinate purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier documentation and project-related expenditure.
  • Liaise with suppliers and third-party service providers to monitor delivery schedules, service requirements and agreed milestones.
  • Maintain supplier and project records and ensure relevant information is accurately captured within company systems.
  • Track project-related costs, purchase commitments and operational expenditure and provide regular reports to management.
  • Support project managers in monitoring risks, issues, dependencies and outstanding actions.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to resolve purchasing, invoicing and supplier-payment queries.
  • Assist with resource and materials planning for projects and operational activities.
  • Monitor supplier and project performance against agreed timelines and service requirements.
  • Prepare management reports using Excel, Power BI and other business reporting tools.
  • Analyse operational and procurement data to identify delays, cost variances, process issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support process-improvement initiatives, including automation and enhancement of procurement and operational workflows.
  • Coordinate information between UK-based stakeholders and international teams and suppliers.
  • Assist with project close-out activities, including documentation, supplier reconciliation, outstanding actions and lessons learned.
  • Ensure project and procurement documentation is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Person Specification Essential
  • Experience in project coordination, procurement, supply-chain operations or business operations.
  • Experience coordinating multiple activities, stakeholders, suppliers or work streams.
  • Good understanding of purchasing and supplier-management processes.
  • Experience preparing reports, trackers and management information.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyse operational data.
  • Experience working with ERP, procurement or business-management systems.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical, commercial, finance and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
Desirable
  • Experience with in a technology, software, IT services, manufacturing or professional-services environment.
  • Experience supporting technology implementation or business-transformation projects.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate or similar reporting/automation tools.
  • Experience managing international suppliers or geographically distributed teams.
  • Procurement or supply-chain qualification such as CIPS/CILT.
  • Understanding of supplier performance management, RFQs and commercial evaluation.
