Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Job Location: North London (N15 4RX
)
Salary: £££ - Excellent salary package
A leading international engineering and construction specialist is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy division, supporting a major long-term National Grid infrastructure projects in North London.
Typical Responsibilities- Support internal commercial reporting and contribute to project financial performance reviews
- Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation in line with contract requirements
- Produce and manage cost reports to the client, ensuring contractual compliance
- Prepare and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
- Administer subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisition through to final account agreement
- Undertake contract administration duties including change management and maintenance of commercial registers
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering initiatives
- Apply cost allocation and coding in line with internal and external requirements
- Measure quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement
- Assist in the preparation and agreement of project final accounts
- Draft subcontracts including professional services agreements
- HND or Degree qualified (Quantity Surveying or related discipline)
- Proven experience in a commercial role (Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or similar) within infrastructure, utilities, or major projects
- Experience working under NEC forms of contract
- Knowledge of Standard Methods of Measurement
- Ideally working towards or already registered with RICS / ICES
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
