Construction Manager - Specialist Subcontractor

Our client is a growing UK construction business operating within the off-site and structural systems sector
. The company delivers high-quality structural solutions across residential and commercial developments, working with developers, main contractors, and private clients.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site-based installation activity across multiple live projects in the South West UK region. This is a key operational role within a growing SME offering long-term progression and strong project exposure.

This is a hands-on site leadership position responsible for the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of structural installation works. You will oversee site operations across multiple live projects, coordinating teams, managing programme performance, and ensuring delivery to specification and company standards. The role involves regular travel to active project sites across the region.

• Lead installation activities from pre-start through to completion
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and operational activity
• Ensure safe delivery in line with programme and specification
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks
• Liaise with clients, principal contractors, and site teams
• Coordinate logistics and delivery sequencing
• Resolve on-site issues efficiently
• Monitor progress and provide internal reporting updates
• Support programme planning and resource allocation
• Ensure full compliance with H&S and company standards

• Construction site management experience
• Strong operational coordination background
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Ability to manage multiple live sites
• Full UK driving licence

• Experience in off-site / modular / structural systems delivery
• SMSTS qualification
• First Aid qualification
• Temporary works awareness
• Lifting operations experience
