Job Title: Creative Media Lecturer

Working Pattern: Part-Time

Rate: £40 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Creative Media Lecturer to join a thriving college in North West London on a long-term temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic media professional to inspire and develop learners studying Creative Media Production and Digital Content programmes.

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Creative Media courses (e.g., film, digital media, content creation, photography, and media theory).
• Plan engaging, industry-relevant lessons aligned with curriculum and awarding body requirements.
• Support learners in developing practical production skills and creative portfolios.
• Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on practical and theoretical work.
• Guide learners in using industry-standard software and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
• Support learners' progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or media careers.

• Relevant qualification in Creative Media, Media Production, Film, or related field (Degree preferred).
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience teaching Creative Media in a Further Education or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of media production processes and digital platforms.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Awareness of current media trends and industry practices.
