Permtemps Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Hounslow for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. The successful candidate will work closely with children who present with a range of special educational needs, including:

• Challenging behaviour
• Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Learning difficulties

You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, regulate their emotions, develop routines, and feel safe and supported in their school environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEN
• Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the school SENCO
• Support the development of pupils' emotional regulation and social skills
• Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Build trusting, professional relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours

• Experience supporting children with SEN or challenging behaviour (school, care, or youth work background all considered)
• Strong behaviour‑management skills and a resilient, calm approach
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to remain patient, supportive, and proactive in demanding situations

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Relevant experience with SEN or behavioural needs is essential
