About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our specialist SEN school in Hounslow from September 2026. Our school primarily supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and associated needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication difficulties.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences that support pupils' academic progress, independence, and overall wellbeing. You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
Develop and implement individualised learning programmes in line with EHCP targets.
Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports communication, engagement, and independence.
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective support for all pupils.
Use a range of specialist strategies, visual supports, and sensory approaches to support learning and behaviour.
Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Requirements

QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly SLD or complex needs, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated learning, and inclusive teaching practices.
Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
A compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach to teaching.
