1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Supporting the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implementing strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals.
• Adapting learning activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
• Encouraging independence while offering appropriate guidance and reassurance.
• Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil to promote engagement and confidence.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
• Supporting positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing approaches.
• Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
• Assisting with personal care where required (if applicable).

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either in a school or similar setting.
• A calm, positive, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Confidence in adapting to the individual needs of the child and responding flexibly throughout the day.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated school team.
